Night Commuters leave a shelter

Night Commuters leave the public school Night Commuter shelter in Kitgum where some 670 commuters spend every night. They attempting to avoid capture and torture at the hands of the LRA. Unfortunately they are also prey to mysterious men who also roam the night in town. Although no statistics are kept, rape is a common occurrence among Night Commuters.
Some walk upwards of 10 kilometers each day, to and from town.
