Motus transmitter application at Bellamy Cave near Clarksville, TN.
August 18, 2022 over 22 people from TWRA, TVA, US Army and TNC applied 68 MOTUS transmitters to emerging gray bats.
Bellamy Cave was purchased by TNC in 2006 as gray bat habitat and turned over to the state of Tennessee for management. The gray bat population of Bellamy has more than doubled in the winter time since the 2006 purchase and increased almost 10 fold.
